Voxxpen is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

2. Data We Collect

2.1 Audio data

When you start a transcription session, audio PCM data is streamed from your browser to our server in real time. This audio is:

  • Processed entirely in memory — it is never written to disk in raw form;
  • Discarded immediately after transcription;
  • Never shared with third parties for transcription purposes.

The resulting text transcript is saved as a plain-text file on the server for your session and can be downloaded via the interface.

2.2 IP address, cookies & usage analytics

We store your IP address and a random browser cookie identifier (vs_demo_id) to enforce the free demo limit (2 runs per user) and for anonymous operational analytics. Specifically, we log:

  • Page views: URL path, IP address, HTTP referrer, and browser user-agent;
  • Funnel events: checkout page visits, checkout initiations, demo session starts, and paid session starts;
  • All data is stored in a local SQLite database on the server;
  • No data is shared with third parties;
  • No data is used for advertising or profiling.

2.3 Payment data

Payments are processed by Stripe. Voxxpen never sees or stores your card details. We store only a Stripe session ID and a one-time session token to verify your purchase. Please review Stripe's Privacy Policy.

3. How We Use Your Data

  • To deliver the transcription service;
  • To enforce demo session limits and prevent abuse;
  • To verify and fulfil paid session requests;
  • To measure anonymous site traffic and conversion funnels for operational improvement.

4. Data Retention

Transcript text files, page view logs, and funnel event records are retained on the server for operational purposes. Demo usage records and payment tokens are retained indefinitely to prevent abuse. If you wish to have your data deleted, please contact us.

5. Cookies

We use a single first-party cookie (vs_demo_id) to track demo usage. No third-party tracking cookies are used. No advertising cookies are used.

6. Third-Party Services

We use Stripe for payment processing. Stripe may set cookies. Please see Stripe's Privacy Policy.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your data. Please contact us to exercise these rights.
